Great, you’re hired! What’s next..?

Every project is unique. We know the right questions to ask on the front end to develop a critical path. Below is an overview of a typical commercial cannabis development project.

Steps of a TYPICAL cannabis development project

*Discovery*

Development Team gathers necessary information from client/owner to fulfill scope of work

Planning

Project schedule is created and confirmed by Development Team

*Facility Program*

Schematic Design (SD) is completed in an iterative process between Architect, Civil, Business Owner, and SB SILVA as industry expert design consultant to refine the process and production goals.

*Equipment Selections*

All equipment in the facility is selected, specified, and located on floor plan and a detailed matrix. Budgetary cost estimates included on matrix with performance data/specs so all information is centralized for Development Team to fulfill scope of work.

Engineering

Design Development (DD) and Construction Drawings (CD) phases commence with Approved Floor Plan and Architectural Backgrounds distributed, coordination between Equipment Plan/Equipment Selections and the various trades on the development team.

Submittal/Plan Check

Construction drawings are submitted for plan check review, comments, and plan revisions prior to permit issuance.

Construction
