A Point of Contact (POC) for the owner/developer as a communication conduit between development team members and the owners. Successful projects maintain regular communication and dynamic coordination with each.
A Point of Contact (POC) for the owner/developer for communications with equipment vendors. It is advantageous to have a regular vendor communication and updated costs associated with the equipment selections made throughout the development process, especially before entering the engineering phase to avoid unexpected delays and expenses.
Our close relationships with all major equipment manufacturers and distributors encourages an efficient feedback loop with reliable communication and everyone’s incentives aligned to expedite the project.
For existing facilities, our team will perform a full site inspection and run preliminary load calculations to determine action plan.
For new developments, this initial site discovery and decision-making process around the high-level facility design identifies the scope of work and determines the basis of design (BOD) for all members of the design team (architect, MEP, Civil, etc.). Completing this overall process outline of the facility early allows floor plan development based on sound decisions and a plan before iterations are distributed for coordination between trades.
The Equipment Selections are a critical element to the development team that allows the process of engineering and coordination on working drawings to start and speed up when all equipment is confirmed. Proper equipment selection requires a thorough understanding of the installation and operation. Our team has extensive knowledge and experience with all of the potential equipment specifications throughout the facility, and we will aid you in selecting the best equipment for the project’s goals and budget.
The Equipment Schedule is a matrix that compiles the manufacturer’s product specifications for the equipment selections planned throughout the facility into a single table for the development team use. This is typically a requirement in the plan check process to establish an interdepartmental understanding of the equipment being used in the facility.
This matrix is an excel spreadsheet that contains all of the product technical data and also the budget information. It acts as the central document for the engineering team and for ownership’s access to the capital expenditures.
The streamlines the work for the entire development team. A complete Equipment Plan will supplement the Equipment Schedule as a visual view of the floor plan with all equipment locations reflected with EQ tags that are consistent with the EQ tags on the Equipment Schedule. Identifying where the equipment is located will significantly expedite the discovery and engineering process for the development team. Equipment plans also help reflect the process flow path for the operation, especially for the manufacturing/extraction facilities.
Typical Equipment Plans we offer:
Fertigation & Irrigation Plan
Water Treatment & Reclaim Plan w/ Water Usage calculations
Air Circulation Plan
Humidification Plan
Air Purification & Surface Sterilization Plan
Odor Mitigation Plan & Report
Post-Harvest Trimming, Bucking, Packaging Plans
Extraction Plans - Solventless & Hydrocarbon Extraction
Living Soil Plans
Bench and racking layouts
Lighting Plans
Mechanical Plans
Elevations & Section Views
And much more…
To supplement the Equipment Schedule and Equipment Plan, we will provide budgetary cost estimates of the capital expenditures with real-time access to pricing, inventory and lead times. This allows the retrofit, expansion, or phased development project capital expenditures to be accurately modeled.
Looking to make your existing facility more efficient and productive? Our team performs retrofit solutions that inspect your site, run loads on your current equipment, determine the best equipment selections for the goals, create a phased approach to implement the suggestions, and continue to support the facility throughout the equipment procurement and installation. We treat it like a new design… All equipment in the facility is selected, specified, and located on floor plan and a detailed matrix. Performance data/specs for all information is centralized for ownership team to fulfill scope of work and understand the budget and critical path.
Design Development & Construction Drawings commence with Approved Floor Plan and Architectural Backgrounds distributed. We provide ongoing details to MEP, Architect and development team.
Construction drawings are submitted for plan check review, comments, and plan revisions prior to permit issuance. Ability to quick ascertain the changes and ensure production and efficiency are not compromised with plan revisions.
Regularly coordinate and review work with site superintendents to ensure successful construction and installation of facility equipment and fixtures.
We have close relationships with many equipment manufacturers and distributors across several industries so we can supply and support any equipment that we have specified in your facility’s Equipment Plan throughout the procurement, installation, and commissioning stages. This is our wheelhouse, and we want to see you succeed.
The Equipment Schedule is the perfect tool when it comes to purchasing. We have real-time pricing and inventory levels so logistics and procurement is efficient. With our access to vendors, we streamline the communication process and ensure business owners are buying direct whenever possible.
The critical process of the initial energizing, balancing and tuning of facility’s process equipment. Vendors are coordinated with subcontractors for organized pre-startup process. This is typically a 2-4 week process.
We ensure equipment is functioning and facility is performing as designed. Client is able to start business operations.
Incentives and goals are aligned with ongoing support of the operation. Hands-on SOP implementation, preventative maintenance, emphasis on continuous improvement in process, production and efficiency.
